3647) Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices across the plant.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Monitor safety practices in production, maintenance, welding, fabrication, and material-handling areas.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by employees and contractors.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and statutory documentation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable statutory requirements.
• Support fire safety, emergency preparedness, and mock drills.
• Monitor 5S and safe working practices on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, HR, and other departments for safety improvements.

Required Skills

✔ Knowledge of industrial safety practices
✔ Good understanding of automobile manufacturing hazards
✔ Knowledge of PPE, fire safety, risk assessment, and safety audits
✔ Good communication and coordination skills
✔ Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox meetings
✔ Safety qualification/certification preferred.
