Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance and accounts department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
2. Prepare and maintain purchase, sales, receipt, and payment vouchers.
3. Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
4. Reconcile bank statements, cash, and ledger accounts.
5. Maintain vendor and customer account records.
6. Prepare GST-related data and assist in statutory compliance.
7. Assist in TDS calculations and related documentation.
8. Maintain petty cash records and expense statements.
9. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
10. Assist in preparing MIS reports and financial statements.
11. Maintain proper filing of invoices, bills, vouchers, and other accounting documents.

Required Skills:
1. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
2. Familiarity with GST, TDS, and taxation concepts.
3. Typing Requirement: Minimum 35 WPM with 95% accuracy. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
4. Working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Busy, SAP, or ERP systems.
5. Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Material Planning
Planning the requirement of raw materials, spares etc. as per production plans
Procumrent of material- Communication with existing and new vendors for quotations. Procurement of goods on timely basis at management approved prices Documentation relating to procurement i.e. preparation of PO.
Vendor management
Relation maintenance and terms negotiation with existing vendors. Follow up with vendors for timely goods receipt. Vendor communication in case of inward goods rejections /for further service issues/ for faulty product replacements.Finding competative vendors to reduce costs and better service/goods.
Other adminstrative tasks
Co-ordination in procurement, stores and accounts department. Manitenance of vendor master in ERP (e.g.details like address,contact No., Credit period etc). Review of overdue creditors and follow up with accounts department for their payments. Analysis of Open POs
