3629) CNC / Plasma Programmer, Setter & Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify CNC / Plasma cutting programs as per production requirements.
• Set and operate CNC/Plasma cutting machines safely and efficiently.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and cutting layouts.
• Select appropriate cutting parameters, tools, and materials.
• Perform machine setting, tool/nozzle adjustment, and program loading.
• Check first-piece and in-process dimensions using measuring instruments.
• Ensure proper material utilization and minimize cutting scrap.
• Troubleshoot basic machine, program, and cutting-quality issues.
• Coordinate with the Production, Design, and Quality teams.
• Maintain production records and follow daily production targets.
• Ensure adherence to 5S, safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Carry out basic machine inspection and report maintenance requirements.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of CNC / Plasma cutting operations.
• Ability to understand fabrication drawings and dimensions.
• Knowledge of CNC/Plasma programming and machine setting.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / CAD drawings will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of cutting parameters and material thickness.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a production team.
