Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Design & Engineering Department.
• Develop and review fabrication designs, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Prepare and approve GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, applicable standards, and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Estimation, Quality, Purchase, and Project teams.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Guide the design team in resolving technical and fabrication-related issues.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, material utilization, cost, and production efficiency.
• Check and approve design calculations and engineering documentation.
• Handle design modifications, revisions, and engineering change management.
• Ensure timely completion and release of drawings for production.
• Provide technical support to the shop floor during fabrication and assembly.
• Interact with customers/vendors for technical clarifications when required.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in design and engineering processes.
