Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily melting and furnace operations.
- Monitor furnace temperature, melting cycle and metal composition.
- Handle induction furnace / melting furnace operations.
- Ensure correct raw material charging as per production requirements.
- Monitor chemical composition and maintain required specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production and Maintenance departments.
- Control material consumption, yield, rejection and rework.
- Maintain melting records, heat reports and production documentation.
- Ensure proper handling of molten metal and adherence to safety procedures.
- Implement 5S, safety and continuous improvement activities.
- Manage manpower and allocate work on the shop floor.
- Troubleshoot melting-related process issues and minimize downtime.
