Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize VMC CNC programs using PowerMill/Delcam software.
- Prepare 2D and 3D machining programs as per component and tooling drawings.
- Perform tool path generation for roughing, finishing, drilling, and contour machining.
- Select suitable cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room and Production teams for machining requirements.
- Optimize programs to improve cycle time and machining quality.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming-related issues.
- Support VMC machine setup and prove-out of new programs.
- Ensure components meet required dimensional and quality specifications.
Required Skills
✔ 3–4 years of experience as a VMC Programmer
✔ Strong knowledge of Delcam, PowerMill & PowerShape
✔ Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes
✔ Ability to read engineering drawings and 3D models
✔ Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters
✔ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
