3626) Sr. Quality Engineer – After Sales Service

Key Responsibilities

• Service Coordination:
• Plan and allocate service requests to Field Service Engineers (FSEs) across PAN India.
• Monitor daily service activities and ensure closure within defined TAT/SLA.
• Coordinate with warehouses, service partners, and field teams for smooth operations.

• Field Operations Management:
• Track battery performance and service requirements using IoT/CAN data.
• Ensure proper diagnosis, repair, and RTF (Ready to Fit) activities at L1/L2 levels.
• Handle escalations and ensure quick resolution of critical field issues.

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Reliability Improvement:
• Perform detailed RCA for field failures using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto analysis.
• Analyse CAN/IoT data, failure trends, and service history to identify root causes.
• Work closely with Quality, Design, and Manufacturing teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive reduction in repeat failures and improve field reliability.
• Prepare and present RCA reports with actionable insights to management.

• Vendor & Partner Management:
• Coordinate with third-party service partners for remote locations.
• Monitor service quality of external vendors.

• Data Monitoring & Reporting:
• Maintain service dashboards and MIS reports (TAT, failure trends, repeat issues).

• Customer & Internal Coordination:
• Act as a single point of contact for service-related communication.
• Coordinate with customers, operations, logistics, and quality teams.

• Process Improvement:
• Identify gaps in service operations and implement corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Quality Tools preferred.

Experience

• 2–5 years’ experience in Battery / Electronics / Automotive manufacturing
• Experience in Li-ion battery manufacturing preferred

• Good communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quality documentation
