Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing Quality Assurance & Inspection

  • Conduct stage-wise in-process inspections for all equipment categories:
    • CLB TSL
    • eBFL
    • TSL
    • CBT
    • PD
    • CD
    • LD
    • Ramp Systems
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to inspection plans and quality checkpoints throughout manufacturing.
  • Monitor assembly quality and verify closure of non-conformities.

2. Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI)

  • Perform Pre-Dispatch Inspections (PDI) for all manufactured equipment.
  • Verify dimensional, functional, visual, and documentation compliance before dispatch.
  • Ensure readiness of equipment for customer acceptance and delivery.
  • Maintain PDI records and inspection reports.

3. Customer, Prototype & Third-Party Inspection Management

  • Coordinate and support customer inspections at manufacturing facilities.
  • Participate in prototype inspections and validation activities.
  • Facilitate third-party inspection activities and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Address observations raised during inspections and ensure timely closure.

4. Project Quality Management

  • Support quality activities for new projects and product development programs.
  • Conduct quality inspections for new product development and project-specific equipment.
  • Ensure project-wise quality documentation is prepared, reviewed, maintained, and updated.
  • Participate in project review meetings and cross-functional core team discussions.
  • Monitor project quality deliverables and milestone compliance.

5. PDIR Management & Process Control

  • Perform PDIR inspections for all equipment categories, new developments, and new projects.
  • Update PDIR documents based on customer feedback, complaints, lessons learned, and process improvements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of PDIR requirements across manufacturing and development activities.
  • Maintain revision control and traceability of quality documentation.

6. Assembly Quality Monitoring

  • Develop, implement, and monitor assembly quality checklists.
  • Ensure checklist compliance during assembly operations.
  • Track and report assembly-related quality issues.
  • Drive corrective actions for recurring assembly defects.

7. Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Support implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Prepare audit documentation and support audit compliance activities.
  • Monitor closure of audit observations and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continual improvement initiatives aligned with QMS requirements.

8. Quality Data Management & Analysis

  • Maintain records of:
    • In-house rework data
    • Inward rejection data
    • Supplier rejection data
    • Customer complaint data
  • Analyze monthly quality performance trends.
  • Prepare reports on:
    • In-house rejection trends
    • Supplier quality performance
    • Rework analysis
    • Defect trends and root causes
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions based on data analysis.

9. Supplier Quality Monitoring

  • Monitor supplier quality performance through inward rejection analysis.
  • Identify recurring supplier-related issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain supplier quality records and performance metrics.

10. Customer Complaint Management

  • Attend customer complaints at site and coordinate resolution activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using quality tools.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor effectiveness of implemented actions.
  • Update relevant quality documents and PDIRs based on complaint findings.
  • Prepare complaint analysis and closure reports.

11. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Participate in project meetings, quality review meetings, and core team meetings.
  • Coordinate with Production, Design, Projects, Procurement, and Service teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Provide quality inputs during product development and process improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems or Quality Control will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 7 – 10 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Engineering Industry.
  • Experience in inspection, supplier quality management, and quality documentation preferred.
  • Exposure to fabrication, welding inspection, painting inspection, and industrial equipment manufacturing is desirable.
