🎯Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for fabrication, structural steel manufacturing, and site erection activities.The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and statutory regulations while maintaining the highest level of quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

⚒️Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMP).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project contractual requirements.
• Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external audits (client/third-party).

1. Fabrication Quality Control

• Oversee quality control activities for steel fabrication in workshops.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings.
• Monitor welding inspections, fit-up inspections, dimensional checks, and material traceability.
• Ensure proper control of consumables and calibration of measuring instruments.
• Review and approve welding procedures and welder qualifications.

1. Erection & Site Quality Control

• Supervise quality inspections during erection of structural steel at site.
• Monitor bolt tightening (torque/tension), alignment, plumbness, and leveling checks.
• Coordinate with site engineers and contractors to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during site activities.

1. Inspection & Testing

• Coordinate NDT activities (UT, RT, MT, PT).
• Liaise with third-party inspection agencies and client representatives.
• Review and approve material test certificates (MTCs).
• Maintain proper documentation of inspection reports and test results.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action reports.
• Prepare quality progress reports for management and clients.
• Ensure proper document control and traceability.

1. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

• Identify non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis.
• Monitor effectiveness of corrective measures.

1. Team Management

• Lead QC engineers and inspectors.
• Conduct training programs on quality standards and procedures

🎓Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil /Metallurgical Engineering.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
• CSWIP / AWS / ASNT Level II certification (preferred).

💼Experience

• 8–15 years of experience in steel fabrication and structural erection projects.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory quality role.

⛏️Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME, EN).
• Expertise in NDT methods and interpretation.
• Familiarity with international codes and client specifications.
• Good knowledge of material traceability and fabrication processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
