3705) Site Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Site Engineer : Civil to supervise day-to-day construction activities at project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

The Site Engineer will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects and project management teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
• Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Check line, level, alignment, dimensions and quality of civil works.
• Coordinate and supervise RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, finishing and other civil works.
• Read and interpret structural, architectural and service drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors and site workers.
• Monitor manpower, materials and equipment required for site activities.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site records.
• Ensure work is completed within the planned schedule and required quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks and identify defects or deviations at an early stage.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants and other project stakeholders whenever required.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Assist in quantity estimation, measurements and checking contractor bills.
• Ensure proper execution of work as per BOQ and approved specifications.
• Follow and enforce site safety procedures and construction safety standards.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager/Construction Manager for timely resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, measurements, inspections and site progress.
• Support project handover activities, snag rectification and finishing works.
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and site execution.
• Good understanding of RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, plastering and finishing works.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and quality standards.
• Good site supervision and manpower management skills.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve site-level technical issues.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of safety practices at construction sites.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple site activities.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial, industrial or infrastructure construction.

Preferred:

Candidates with experience in real estate development, high-rise/residential buildings, commercial projects or finishing works will be preferred.
