3574) Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Paint Shop

Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and automation systems in the paint shop to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted production. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment breakdown, safety compliance, continuous improvement, and effective maintenance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in the paint shop.
2. Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, control panels, MCCs, conveyors, paint booths, curing ovens, pumps, blowers, compressors, and power distribution systems.
3. Support PLC, SCADA, and HMI troubleshooting, minor programming changes, and automation upgrades.
4. Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules, maintain maintenance records, and perform root cause analysis for recurring failures.
5. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, hazardous-area requirements, and company EHS policies.
6. Manage critical electrical spare parts and coordinate with procurement for timely availability.
7. Drive continuous improvement through equipment reliability, energy-saving, cost-reduction, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives.
8. Implement and sustain 5S practices by maintaining clean, organized, and well-identified maintenance work areas and equipment.
9. Maintain electrical drawings, PLC backups, maintenance documentation, and support internal/external audits (ISO, IATF, EHS), ensuring timely closure of audit observations and CAPA.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), SCADA/HMI, VFDs, motors, sensors, electrical panels, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot control circuits.

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and in shifts.

Working Conditions

• Shop-floor environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, and humidity.
• Shift work and emergency/on-call maintenance support may be required.
• Compliance with all safety and PPE requirements is mandatory.
