🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Product Design & Development
Lead design and development of resistor products:
Wire wound resistors
Thick film resistors
Metal film resistors
Power resistors
Custom-designed resistors
Ensure product compliance with customer drawings and specifications
Develop new resistor variants based on market requirements - New Product Development (NPD)
Drive complete NPD lifecycle:
Concept development
Prototype validation
Testing & qualification
Pilot production
Product release
Coordinate with Production, Quality & Marketing teams - Design Validation & Testing
Ensure proper validation including:
Resistance tolerance testing
Thermal performance validation
Load life testing
Environmental reliability testing
Approve engineering drawings & BOMs - Customer & Vendor Technical Support
Interact with customers for technical clarifications
Support RFQs with feasibility inputs
Provide application-based resistor solutions
Coordinate with vendors for technical requirements - Cost Optimization Through Design
Identify opportunities for:
Material optimization
Design simplification
Alternate material usage
Value engineering initiatives - Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
Production team
Quality Assurance
Purchase / Sourcing
Marketing & Sales
Maintenance team
To ensure smooth product industrialization. - Documentation & Compliance
Maintain design documentation as per ISO standards
Ensure compliance with:
Customer specifications
IEC standards
RoHS / REACH requirements
Control Engineering Change Management (ECN / ECR) - Team Leadership
Lead Design & R&D team
Allocate projects & monitor progress
Develop technical competency
Drive innovation initiatives
